Growing up with little or nothing to eat,
Going to school with worn out or torn trousers,
Who would have thought that my life would turn out to be this way...ohhh
Could i have known that i'd be blessed this much today
Seeing it then it seemed like life was over oohhh
It just seemed like life wasn't gonna get better
Now i talk of them as a bad fairy tale
A fairy tale that i'm well over
Now i live in abundance,
Now i smile and i can dance,
I and my family can sing along
We all laugh now together, we celebrate now together
Oh i feel so good thanks to God
I may not have a job at NASA,
But i don't feel proud any lesser at all
I may not have a fleet of cars to fool around with... no no,
But i do have a place to lay my head and sleep.
Oh that feeling
While Reminiscing
The thoughts that flow right through my mind
Just Makes me wanna scream
Nd it makes me wanna shout
And oh! I feel like jumping right outa my skin
Now i live in abundance,
Now i smile and i can dance,
I and my family can sing along
We all laugh now together, we celebrate now together
Oh i feel so good thanks God
Thinking back, my life long,
All i can do is smile and say thank you Lord
And looking forward,
I just know there are more of lots and lots of brighter days.
